Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 6, 2026. The short version: we don't collect personal data, and the only information we store is your in-game progress in your own browser.

The short version

MellowPineLand does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email, IP address, location, or any other personal information by default. The only data stored is your in-game progress (coin balance, last 20 spins, daily-bonus state, preferences), kept locally in your browser via localStorage. We do not use third-party tracking, advertising pixels, or analytics that identify you.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

2.1 Personal information

By default, we collect no personal information. The site does not require an account, email, or any identifying detail to play.

If you voluntarily contact us via the Contact form or email, we will receive whatever information you choose to share (name, email, message). We use that information only to respond to your inquiry.

2.2 Local data stored on your device

The following data is stored in your browser's localStorage, scoped to mellowpineland.cfd. It never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

  • mpl_balance — your current virtual coin balance (e.g., 5000)
  • mpl_daily_bonus — last claim time and streak count
  • mpl_history — last 20 spins (timestamp, bet, win, type)
  • mpl_stats — aggregated spin count, total won, biggest win
  • mpl_prefs — sound and animation preferences
  • mpl_self_exclusion — Take-a-Break state
  • mpl_reality_check — last reality-check time and interval
  • mpl_cookie_consent — your cookie-banner choice

You can clear this data at any time via your browser settings (Site data → Clear) or by clicking the "Clear" option in the cookie banner decline flow.

2.3 Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL, response status) for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics. These logs are retained for a short period (typically 30 days) and are not linked to any user account.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

MellowPineLand does not set tracking or advertising cookies. We use one sessionStorage entry (mpl_age_verified) to remember that you confirmed you are 18+, so we don't show the age gate on every page. This entry is cleared when you close the browser tab.

The cookie banner you see is a UI prompt; clicking "Accept" or "Decline" simply stores your choice in localStorage and dismisses the banner.

4. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

  • Google Fonts — to load the Inter typeface. Google may receive your IP address and user agent as part of the font request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting provider — to serve the site. Standard server logs only.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any third-party analytics or advertising tracker on MellowPineLand.

5. How we use information

We use the limited information we hold only to:

  • Operate, secure, and improve the Service.
  • Respond to direct inquiries you send us.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

6. Your rights under PIPEDA

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws, you have the right to:

  • Access any personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your information.
  • Withdraw consent and close any account (we have no accounts by default).
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Because we don't collect personal data by default, most of these rights are satisfied by your simply clearing your browser's site data. For anything else, contact us at [email protected].

7. Children's privacy

MellowPineLand is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. The age gate is self-attested; parents and guardians are responsible for restricting minors' access. If you believe a minor has used the site, please contact us and we will assist.

8. International visitors

The site is intended for Canadian residents. If you visit from outside Canada, your local privacy laws may also apply. We do not transfer personal data across borders because we do not collect it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, secure hosting, minimal data surface) to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your data as safe as possible given the minimal scope of what we collect.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when changes were made. Material changes will be highlighted on the home page for at least 30 days.
